Budget Analysis

Budget Analysis

Having tables with the income, expected income, expenses and expected expenses, more measures were modeled: Utility and expected utility, this is, income – expenses and expected income – expected expenses; balance and expected balance, this is, a cumulative monthly sum of utility and expected utility, respectively. Finally, the performance of each factual measure compared with its expectations, this is: income quota (income/expected income), expenses quota (expenses/expected expenses), utility quota (utility/expected utility) and balance quota (balance/ expected balance).

The Dashboard:

The page ‘Principal’ has the quotas for income, expenses, utility and balance, and links to the correspondent pages, for more detailed information on each element.

The second page, income quota, shows the performance of this measure per month (area chart), a multi row card with its performance by category (online, other) and a line chart with a time line showing each category result. This page has a link just below the area chart visualization, that takes to the third report page, for more detailed information about income and expected income per category.

The fourth page has information about the expenses quota with the same structure as the one for the income quota: area chart, multi row card, line chart and the link below the area chart for detailed information on expenses and expected expenses per category, in the fifth page.

The next two pages have the information about the utility quota, keeping the same structure: area chart, multi row card and line chart, tracking the behavior of this variable per month and category. Also, it has the link to the next page, for detailed information about utility and expected utility per month and category, besides a table that includes the income and expenses quota for comparison with utility quota.

Finally, it’s the balance quota page, that follows this variable over time using a line chart and a table.

All pages have filters for year and month on the headline.
